Ronald J. Weber

Ronald J. Weber, 79, of Janesville died Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Manor. Ronald was born on March 16, 1937 in Janesville, the son of Othmar and Hazel (Caldo) Weber. He graduated from St. Patrick’s Grade School and Janesville High School. He attended UW Madison and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Teaching from UW Whitewater. Ronald was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He married Virginia Lipetri on December 21, 1963 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He taught social studies in the Janesville Public School System for many years until retiring. Ron enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, following the Packers, Wisconsin Badgers sports teams and the Chicago Cubs. He was an avid reader, especially of current events and political science matters. Above all else, spending time with family and friends was extremely important. Ron was a member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of more than 53 years, Virginia Weber, two sons, Christopher (Joanne Cryer) Weber of Maplewood, MN, Andrew (Camille Schoenberg) Weber of Pacific Palisades, CA, three grandchildren, Bryce and Syri of Maplewood, MN, Annabelle of Pacific Palisades, CA, two sisters, Pauline Weber and Frances (Vince) Kessenich, one brother, Thomas Weber all of Janesville, his brother-in-law, Carl (Barb) Lipetri of Clinton, WI. His parents preceded him in death.
Ron’s family wishes to thank the staff of St. Elizabeth Manor and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care he received. A special thank you to Dr. Adriana Tobar and her staff as well as to all of our family and friends who have been so supportive during this difficult time.
Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville with Father Thomas Marr and Rev. Lee Meissner officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 18th from 10 a.m. until 11: 30 a.m. at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Manor or Heartland Hospice in memory of Ron.
